December  5, 2014  Book Discussion on Doing History from the Bottom Up Staughton Lynd talked about his book Doing History from the Bottom Up: On E.P. Thompson, Howard Zinn, and Rebuilding the Labor Movement from Below, in which he argues the importance of writing about history from the point of view of those whose voices are normally marginalized. In his book, he profiles historians such as E.P. Thompson, Howard Zinn, and David Montgomery, who approached history this way.
